I too am facing this, Although for me the mouse works but keyboard does not even pair to the Macbook pro anymore. Both are unifying reciever based devices. would appreciate if someone / logitech fixes this.
Same. I have a logitech k350 keyboard. the unifying application shows it connected, but only in the "advanced" settings. the volume control button works, but none of the other keys. i have set up all the security/privacy settings correctly in the system prefs and restarted multiple times but nothing is working.
Using the "Advanced" option....the keyboard is recognized (state goes from inactive to active when you pound on the keys), yet no characters appear either in the Unifying test box or anywhere in the computer itself.
Hi everyone. In these strange times many of us are working from home. I have taken to putting my MacBook pro onto the TV with the HMDI cable. I own a Bluetooth mouse, but not a keyboard. I dont need to type all that much, so don't really want to shell out a lot of money for a Bluetooth keyboard. Does anyone know if I can use my iPhone as one? Ideally, I would like to just be able to sit with the display on my TV and use it to enter a short amount of text here and there... Any comments would be very much appreciated.
To automatically repeat a mouse action and record it, you can make use of a tool called Macro Toolworks. This is an automation program that provides its users to manage their tasks that require repetitive actions on all Windows devices. Most applications are supported by this tool which means you have a large scope of programs to work on. Aside from setting macro commands and macro triggers, this tool also supports macro recorder. This program also gives an option to share your files either by using a macro player or by generating it as an executable file.
Murgaa Macro Recorder for Mac is a good auto mouse and keyboard recorder. By using this tool, you can record all your keyboard actions and mouse movements. While recording, a preview of all the actions that you do will be shown in the Main window, giving you a hint of what actions are already done. Moreover, this program supports keyboard shortcuts and provides distinct sound alerts.
The next Mac program that serves as a mouse and keyboard recorder is Alphaomega Keyboard and Mouse Recorder. Upon using the program, you will be given the opportunity to record keyboard keystrokes and mouse movements together with mouse clicks. It has a built-in player that allows you to play the recorded macro and rewind or forward the playback as you wish.

The list of things you can do with an iPhone is nearly endless. From browsing the Web to charting stars in the sky, the iPhone is full of possibilities. It should come as little surprise the iPhone can double as a mouse or trackpad for a Mac. It may sound crazy to use a device worth hundreds of dollars as a mouse, but when you are in a pinch, the best tool is the one you have immediately available. Here is how to use your iPhone as a mouse with your Mac.
Once you are connected, you can move your mouse around in the same way you would any other wireless mouse. Multitouch is included, so you have access to many of the same multi-finger functions, including pinching in and out for a variety of shortcut functions.
Unified Remote is another popular option that not only functions as a mouse for your Mac but essentially turns your smartphone into a universal remote. Windows PC owners have the means to control multiple computers with one keyboard and mouse, but what about Mac users? The Universal Control feature allows those using macOS or iPadOS to share the same cursor, mouse, trackpad, and keyboard between a Mac and iPad. And if you have more than one Mac or iPad, you can share these controls among all of them.
Once everything is updated, you must then enable the Universal Control feature. On your Mac, go to System Preferences > Displays and click the Universal Control button. At the next screen, check Allow your cursor and keyboard to move between any nearby Mac or iPad.
You can set Universal Control to switch your mouse cursor from one device to another simply by moving it to the right or left edge of the screen, depending on where each device is situated. If you wish to enable this option, check the box for Push through the edge of a display to connect a nearby Mac or iPad.
Click the entry for your iPad under Link keyboard and mouse to, so that it displays a blue icon. You can then move your cursor to the right edge of the screen until it appears on your iPad. To disconnect from your iPad, return to the same Control Center window and click the entry for your iPad. The blue icon should disappear, signifying you are no longer connected.
You can add more devices to the mix to control them all from one central Mac, though only two other devices can be connected at one time. To add another Mac, go to System Preferences > Displays on that Mac and click Universal Control. Make sure to check Allow your cursor and keyboard to move between any nearby Mac or iPad; the other choices are optional.

The cursor is absolutely essential in operating a computer to pretty much anyone. A generic user most probably has no clue how to use the command line, and therefore requires a mouse or a trackpad in order to use their tech. Naturally, any issues related to the cursor cause a lot of frustration and halt whatever work you do when they happen.
If your cursor keeps freezing and is constantly stuck in the same position, you will see a spinning rainbow wheel indicating the problem. When you have mouse-related concerns, the options might be limited since you are restricted to the keyboard. So what do you do?
